Little Girl Lost

sg
This faux-paperback book cover originally had a lot more detail in it--both the girl and the arm holding the gun were more fully illustrated.

But as I worked on this, I realized I liked it better with these stark, black-and-white (and red) shapes. When I added the somewhat funky font and background elements, I realized stark was the way to go!

I actually feel bad for the girl, so I am guessing your elements all worked well together.

Great picture Rob! It has a teeny-tiny bit of a James Bond feel to it. Agree completely with your comments about less being more. And the font fits like a charm. Love the position of the name on the gun handle. It just works!

Thanks Joe! I think its the tears that did it. :)

King--Thanks! This one has quickly become one of my personal favorites. I like how "groovy" it is.

Nice juxtiposition with no innuendo... very well done. And the simplicity of the colors, the larger objects and the font choice... very nice.
